I’m influenced by the work of Friedrich Nietzsche who described himself as philosophising with a hammer; the tuning hammer (or fork) is a metaphor for sounding out ideas. I approach psychotherapy similarly; with a skillful, direct and gentle touch unsound thoughts, ideas, behaviours and beliefs can be retuned or perhaps cracked open allowing the work of healing and creativity to begin.
The blog is an experiment in expressing my approach through creative writing. These lines from Rainer Marie Rilke's poem Fictional Fact accurately sum up my intention: 'There is always a fiction in the fact The fiction holds a lot of hidden facts In the end, I found something which might be the beginning of nothing And now the paradox begins with an open end'
This site explores and promotes Nietzschean Psychotherapy; it is an invitation for people to become curious about how Nietzschean Psychotherapy might look (it doesn't formally exist) The blog is a witness account of 'how the "true world" finally became a fable' (Nietzsche)
